Where All the Flowers Bloom: Floral Skirt and Polka Dot Shirt

blossoms9

Happy Tuesday Everyone!

While going to the grocery store the other day, I was completely inspired by the beautiful orange flowers on this wall. They reminded of spring and summer weather and a floral skirt I bought last year that is vibrant and so full of life. I could not wait to go home and play with different pairings for the skirt. After some thought, I decided to pair if with a polka dot button down that accents the magenta and orange orchid design. It was a little rainy today, and the floral design reminded me that spring is just around the corner.

Dots of Prosperity and Joy

Hello all,

Happy Aloha Friday everyone! I love saying that. It has a ring to it that makes you enjoy the weekend just a tad bit more. As a kid, I enjoyed my summers away from school spending time at friends houses, having sleepovers, and enjoying the beach on sunnier days. I remember going to this place, Sand Island, and playing on the rocks with my brother whenever my family had a beach day.  Ashley, my photographer, and I had fun taking this shoot on the rocks with the backdrop of Downtown Honolulu. I love the juxtaposition of the relaxing beach atmosphere to the concrete jungle. I enjoyed skipping on the rocks, can you tell?

In my culture, wearing polka dots on New Years Eve suggests that the coming year will be full of wealth, joy, and prosperity  and since Summer for me marks the ending of a year and the beginning of a new one, I decided to wear polka dots to celebrate a more amazing year for my career, this blog, as well as other plans I have in store.

Hope you are Having a Great Friday! I am about to start mine. Follow my blog or check me out on Instagram at ellelovesshoes.

XOXO,

Elle

Black and White Polka Dots with a Touch of Red

Hi All!
Hope you are having an amazing Wednesday. I love polka dots. It is such a classic print. I love the way black and white polka dots go so well with red or other bold colors. Here, I styled the print with an oversized white shirt.

The photos for this particular blog post got me thinking about finding the perfect white button down shirt, a closet staple. In the recent past, I was okay with just purchasing any white button down shirt but as of late, I am particularly in search for one that fits well. I have gone to several places and tried on several. Now, I need to decide on the perfect white button down shirt for me.

Thank you so much for reading. I do ask you that if you do read this blog, please leave me a comment or like my page. I would love to hear from you.

XOXO,
Elle

Polkadot Chambray and Red Details

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are enjoying your Monday. I like to add a pop of color when I’m wearing staple pieces like a chambray shirt and a pair of white jeans. I like the way the sunnies, the belt, and the shoes all bring the outfit together and make it just a little bit more complete. Take care and I hope to hear from you soon.
XOXO,

Elle

Romantic Highs and Lows

Hi Everyone,

Hope your Saturday is going well. Today is a really nice Saturday outside, the birds are chirping and it feels very Spring. It is definitely different from yesterday’s showers. Spring time reminds me of blooms, bright and pastel colors as well as romance. While shopping at Brandy <3’s Melville last fall I spotted this high low hemline lavender dress. I really liked the movement of the dress when I walked in them. The dress is fun for a date in the park, a romantic night out with the beau, or tea with the girlfriends.

Have a great Saturday.

XOXO,

Elle

Peach Polka Dots and Pearls

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are having a great start of the week. This weekend, I picked up a fun polkadot skirt from Forever 21. Polka dots is always a fun and whimsical print that is also very classic.  Here, I paired my polka dot skirt with a simple three quarter sleeve tee, some classic pearls and finished it with an obi belt. How do you wear your polka dots? Let me know and comment with your response below. Take care.

XOXO,

Elle
