For the Love of Denim: Pencil Skirts and Light Sweaters

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

There is something completely nostalgic about denim skirts. Before I found the perfect pair of jeans, I found the perfect denim skirt.  It has become a staple in my wardrobe as long as I can remember. I have them in different cuts and washes. Recently, I have been looking for one in a high waisted pencil cut in dark wash and I have been eye-ing this one from Zara for a while now.  I could not help but get it when it went on sale in December. It is the perfect blend of feminine and tough. The classic pencil cut and the dark wash allow the skirt to be worn with many different pairings. I can not wait to find more ways to wear this skirt.

What is one of your staple pieces that you cannot live without?

Thank you again for reading. Take care.

Spring is Here: Monet meets a Little Sparkle

Hey Everyone! Monday is here. I hope you had an amazing weekend.

When I think of Spring, I think of sunshine, the chirping of birds (and they are definitely chirping outside of my window as I type this), beautiful blossoms everywhere, and a peaceful and hopeful day at the park. This is a feeling that I get everytime I look at the the paintings of Monet. Today, I wanted to wear a piece that reminded me of the hopefulness, renewal, and growth often associated with Spring.

Thank you so much for reading. Happy Spring to you!

Taking These Off My List

Today, I took my mom and aunt shopping, we decided to stop in at Nordstrom Rack to check out their shoe event for petite feet women.

I looked through the racks to find these. I saw them several years ago and thought that I would never get a pair after some failed attempts to purchase the shoe. I’m glad I waited, this color is not your typical white, the detailing and pattern is subtle, the upper for this shoe is leather unlike the last pair I attempted to purchase. I’m quiet happy with this new addition.

Let me know what you think.

Abstract Prints and Bronze Accessories

Hi All,
Happy Sunday. It’s been quite muggy and warm lately in Hawaii. I really hoping for some wing and rain. It is so much more refreshing. Speaking of refreshing, lately I have been straying away from my usual silver tone accessories and moving towards more brassy, bronze, and gold tone. Whether it is rings, necklaces, bracelets, and even bags. I’m definitely favorite the warmer metal colors.

In this outfit, I took dress with an abstract print design and added some bronze accessories to give it a little life. I like the way it looks together. I also added a nuetral shoe to elongate my legs and to add focus on the bronze accessories. I hope you life it. Let me know. Take care and I hope to hear from you soon.
