Adding the Old with the New

The first few days of the New Year was spent catching up with friends. Finally got to try Fish Honolulu in Kakaako. I went to have lunch with an old friend visiting from graduate school.

Fried Oysters for Appetizers
Fish Tacos and a Salad for Lunch

I tried the fried oysters, fish tacos, and a salad. The food was flavourful and fresh.

I have several New Year’s Goals this year. As part of my New Year’s Goal I’m trying to wear different items from my closet this year and really work with what I have in there. Another goal, is to celebrate life regardless of where I am. I know that recently, I have not been posting because I’ve gained some weight but I’m working on being more healthy and fit. Nevertheless, until I get to my goal, I will celebrate where I am. There a lot to look forward to this year as well as accomplish.

For this lunch date with my friend, I wore an old piece from Fighting Eel and my favorite pants from Uniqlo on repeat. I paired it with a simple sandal from Isabel Marant and a JW Anderson Pierce bag, it’s been my go to piece lately.

I know we are at the end of January but I hope to share more with you this year. What goals do you have this year? Please share them with me. Take care.

XOXO,

Elle

Modern Peasant

Hello again! Two outfits posts so far this week. I feel like I’m on a roll.  I attended an event at the Honolulu Convention Center and I  wanted to look put together but still be cool and effortless.

The first time I saw this skirt from the JW Anderson x Uniqlo, I was in love with the asymmetric hemline. It’s indicative of his modern take on menswear mets women’s wear. I honestly am in love with the skirts from this collection.  This skirt reminds me of a modern take on a peasant skirt; the patchwork details in the front and back  and the A-line structured cut. I love that its light and airy and breathes in the warm weather we have been having. I decided to pair it with a cami for an simple and clean look.  I decided to wear neutral shoes so the skirt can be the focal point of the whole outfit.
